Ground Rules & Good to know

Here's your House Rules page with the soaking tub info folded in, condensed and dash-free so it pastes clean:

House Rules & Good to Know

A few simple guidelines keep The Hideaway safe, comfortable, and in great shape for every guest. Thanks for helping us care for the space!

Outdoor Soaking Tubs

  • The outdoor soaking tubs are weather-dependent and typically unavailable from November through April, when freezing temperatures can make them unsafe to run.

  • For the tubs to be available, the day's forecasted low must stay above 40°F. If it's expected to drop below that, the water stays shut off to protect the plumbing and equipment.

  • Smart shutoff valves handle this automatically for safe operation, so availability in the colder months can change quickly with the weather and can't be guaranteed.

Smoking & Vaping

  • No smoking or vaping indoors. If you smoke outside, please keep well away from the cabin so the air stays fresh inside.

  • Fully extinguish cigarette butts and dispose of them in the designated container, never in the trash, as that's a fire hazard.

Pets

  • Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome (dogs only, pet fee applies). Please let us know in advance.

  • Clean up indoors and out (waste bags provided), keep dogs off furniture and beds, crate them when left alone, and leash them outside the deck and fire-pit areas.

  • We're surrounded by forest, so use flea/tick prevention and check your dog daily.

  • See our full Pet Policy for everything to know before you book.

Septic System

  • Our home runs on a septic system. Please flush only human waste and toilet paper. No wipes (even "flushable"), feminine hygiene products, or other items.

  • Don't pour grease, oils, or harsh chemicals down any drain.

  • Bidets are provided in every bathroom; please use toilet paper sparingly.

Respecting the Space

  • Please return any moved furniture to its original spot and treat the home with care.

  • Excessive damage or extra cleaning may result in additional charges.
