From Penn Yan to Hammondsport

“Stayed for two nights with a small group and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Living Roots was just down the road and a wine tasting afternoon followed by some fires and relaxing at the property was a great day all around. We took on the beautiful views during day time and specially the night sky which was stunning! (Perfect stargazing location). The sauna was a good touch and a located with a view of the woods as well from the inside of it which was an amazing experience. Highly recommend staying here! ☺️”

Gorgeous decks with beautiful views of the woods. Close drive to delicious restaurants, wineries, and distilleries. Excellent base from which to explore the finger lakes region. My family hopes to visit again soon!”

“Our busy family of 5 booked The Hideaway and once we arrived, we realized this was the place we needed. The experience for us included everything from spending time on the beautiful and spacious front to side deck, walking through the well-groomed grounds and out into the adjacent forest, and hanging out as a group or finding our own private quiet space. As a family we enjoyed the fire pit that is perfectly placed under the clear nights sky and framed in elegantly by the treetops. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the outdoor sauna, couples' bathtubs, kitchen bar, upstairs loft lounge with wine fridge and games. During the day our family went to Pen Yan, Watkins Glen, and just down the road at Hammondsport. Additionally, we were able to visit various wineries within minutes of The Hideaway. Dan was extremely available and responsive. The QR codes around the house were very helpful. We are already planning our trip back next year.”
